Bootcamp

Bootcamps are 45 minute circuit training sessions that work the whole body and cater for all ages and abilities. Circuit training has been around for a long time and is used widely by athletes, sports teams, celebrities and the armed forces.

The circuit can be made of any number of exercises from sit ups, squats, press ups, sprints etc. Also there are different ways to do each exercise so as to accommodate all levels of fitness. The exercises last 20-60 seconds before you move onto the next activity and the circuit is finished after all the exercises have been completed.

Circuit training once, twice or three times a week can significantly improve your overall fitness and has been shown to burn more calories than traditional gym workouts.

Circuit training combines cardiovascular and resistance training in one effective workout and the benefits are: fat loss, weight loss and body toning

  • Improved heart and lung function
  • Increased speed and stamina
  • Increased muscle strength
  • Improved energy levels
  • Improved posture
  • Improved flexibility
  • Lower blood pressure

Circuit training in a group environment is also great fun and psychologically rewarding. No matter what your fitness level you can really push yourself in the knowledge that you only have 60 seconds maximum of each activity before you move on to the next exercise.

Bootcamps are organized either outdoors in the parks during the warm seasons or indoors in a gym in the cold seasons.
